Wireless Vision achieves their business solutions utilizing a combination of advanced technologies, including: digital pen & paper, wireless communications, XML processing, and back-end server applications. We integrate these technologies into a complete, paper-based workflow

Digital Pen & Paper Workflow

  1. The paper-based workflow begins with printing a proprietary pattern of very small dots on ordinary paper. This pattern, which is perceived by the eye as a slightly off-white color, is included on all paper products (forms, notebooks, etc.) for which Wireless Vision functionality is required. As a user writes on the paper with a digital pen, the pen's built-in camera continuously takes pictures of the patterned paper and records the pen-strokes.
  2. When the user presses a Send box printed on the paper, the pen sends the captured data (including: what was written, the user's identify, and the exact time) to a routing application via Bluetooth™ wireless technology or a dock to PC.
  3. The router is a java application that runs on various devices, including cell phones and PCs, and listens for data from the digital pen. Upon receiving data from the pen, the router forwards the data through the internet to a server.
  4. Applications on the server manipulate the data as needed, performing XML processing, handwriting recognition, database integration, and any other required tasks. Read Back-End Integration for more information about Wireless Vision's server applications.
