During the “Pink Tag” sale, May 22nd to May 31st, Wireless Vision will donate $5 to Komen Detroit for each new, 2-year activation. In addition, Samsung will match an extra $5 for each new, 2-year activation with purchase of any Samsung mobile phone.

“We are getting involved in all 8 markets that we operate in”, said Saber Ammori, CEO of Wireless Vision.  “This year, we hope to donate well over $10,000 collectively to the affiliates in our markets.”

Wireless Vision LLC is headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and operates over 100 T-Mobile exclusive retail stores in 7 states.

KOMEN PARTNERS OFFER VARIOUS PERKS LEADING UP TO RACE

Local businesses provide thousands of dollars to underwrite breast health programming throughout the Komen Columbus 30-county service area

(Columbus, Ohio)- More than 100 local businesses provide everything from cash contributions to pro bono services that eliminate expensive budget line items for the Columbus Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure each year. This enables the Affiliate to direct 85 cents of every dollar generated to critical breast health care programming throughout 30 counties in Ohio.

Additionally, several partners are stepping up with promotions above their sponsorships that will generate even more dollars for the mission of eradicating breast cancer as a life threatening disease:

Germain Motor Company: In addition to being a co-start line sponsor with Riverside Radiology and Interventional Associates, Germain is donating $50 for every vehicle sold during the month of May to the Columbus Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure – with a goal of donating $50,000 to Komen Columbus.

Tim Horton’s: For the fifth year in a row, Columbus Tim Hortons locations will feature special pink ribbon donuts for $1, with all proceeds donated to the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure. The promotion starts on Saturday, May 8 and goes until supplies last.  Since 2006, Tim Horton’s has raised more than $20,000 alone through the sale of pink ribbon donuts. Additionally, Tim Horton’s is a platinum sponsor of the Komen Columbus Race for the Cure.

T-Mobile: T-Mobile is having a “Pink Tag” sale from May 15 to May 30 and will donate $5 to Komen Columbus for each new activation and $10 for each new 2-year activation with purchase of any Samsung.

Columbus Dispatch: The Dispatch will be printing a special “pink” edition on Race Day, May 15 and they will be sold on-site at the Race. All proceeds will be directed to Komen Columbus.

Leo Alfred Jewelers: They are hosting a “Diamond Dash” on Saturday, May 8. The Leo Alfred Diamond Dash is a city-wide treasure hunt with clues and riddles delivered via text message to participants’ cell phones. There is no cost to enter, but all donations will be given to Komen Columbus Race for the Cure. The winner will take home a $12,000 diamond ring.

Komen Columbus Race for the Cure, which raises money to battle breast cancer through tax-deductible donations, continues to rank in the world’s top 10 in race participation.

Komen Columbus has raised more than $15 million since it began in 1993; 75 percent of that money stays in its 30-county service area and is used to conduct breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs. The other 25 percent goes to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure to fund national breast cancer research programs.

Thanks to the generosity of supporters, Komen Columbus will grant nearly $1.5 million to fund 31 programs that provide thousands of women with vital breast health education, screening

and support throughout the next year.

We are always a bit sad when a popular cell phone is killed off, and it looks like RIMs Blackberry 8900 is the next phone to be discontinued.

T-Mobile has proclaimed that the 8900 has “reached the end of it’s life cycle.”  It is a great phone, but we can definitely look to the future for better more evolved technology.
