Store Associate Manager Position Description

Job Title: Associate Manager
Reports to: Store Manager
Supervises: Indirectly—sales representatives
Exemption: Exempt

Scope for the Position: Responsibility for providing leadership, development and coaching to sales representatives, assisting the store manager with store operations, interacting with customers to problem solve issues, assisting in the sales process, ensuring an outstanding customer experience.  Working with store manager to plan and execute on development and business plans.  This role is a developmental opportunity in preparation for a store manager position.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Create an outstanding buying experience for the customer
  • Execute floor leadership—own and manage the sales floor with the store manager; greet all customers in a professional, friendly, and timely manner, including answering phones and directing customer inquiries
  • Coach and develop sales representatives in assessing customer needs and right fitting the customer with the total technology solution
  • Work with the sales representatives to problem solve customer issues
  • Work with manager to execute on the local store marketing initiatives to solicit new business.  Manage sales reps initiatives including but not limited to outbound calling, community involvement, outreach programs, and promoting the brand inside and outside the store/retail location.
  • Work with store management in opening, closing and operating the retail facility, including but not limited to cash handling and deposits as governed by operations control standards
  • Complete accurate paperwork and transactions according to company policies and procedures
  • Assist with inventory counts as needed
  • Assist in maintaining store appearance and merchandising standards
  • Assist with all functions within a retail store in compliance with Wireless Vision policies and procedures
  • Assist in other tasks, duties, or projects as assigned by management.

  • Knowledge of cellular/paging/PCS/advanced wireless communication preferred
  • High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred
  • Working knowledge of PC Windows applications  required
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (up to 9 hour) on the sales floor
  • Must be able to move and/or lift up to 25 pounds
